唐代不少诗都是为歌诗传唱而作,而歌诗本就是一门涉及到声、舞、乐、容的综合艺术,其演唱者(歌伎)对歌诗的创作及传唱皆有较大的作用,从创作题材到作品风格及其声律,歌诗创作都深受其影响。

Poems in Tang Dynasty were created for poem-singing performance. Poem-singing performance was a comprehensive art including sound, dance, music and appearance. Their performers played a significant role in their creation and circulation from the works, themes, their styles to tones.
