摘要 为了将一种基于802.11DCF的无线局域网节能MAC协议802.11PS用于多跳移动网络,提出了一种改进的报文驱动无线网卡动态关闭节能协议802.11NPS.802.11NPS使无关结点收到控制报文后延迟关闭无线网卡,从而很好地支持了路由协议的正常运行.它无需全网同步机制,也可用于全互连网络.文中还采用较精确的能耗模型对802.11NPS协议的性能进行了仿真研究,结果表明:在所考虑的仿真环境下,802.11NPS在全互连网络中最多可节能60%,在多跳移动Ad Hoc网络中最多可节能18%;802.11NPS的时延性能优于802.11DCF,而吞吐率则与802.11DCF大体相当. To extend the usage scope of an 802.11DCF-based to a multi-hop mobile environment, a modified version called wireless LAN power-saving MAC protocol 802.11PS 802.11NPS is proposed. It applies a packet-driven dynamic switching-off mechanism to the wireless network interface card to save power. By delaying the switching operations after the nodes receive unrelated control packets, 802.11 NPS can excellently support the upper - layer routing protocol. It does not need the global synchronization and can also be used in fully-connected networks. Mo- reover, by using a more accurate power-consumption model, the performance of 802.11NPS is studied by simulation. The results show that, within the simulated scenarios under consideration, 802.11NPS can save power by 60% at its maximum in a fully-connected network and by 18% at its maximum in a multi-hop mobile ad hoc network, and that 802.11NPS is of a similar throughput to 802.11DCF and is of better delay performance than the latter.
