Thebrownplanthopper(BPH).NilaparvatalugensStal,beingmonophagous,failedtosurviveonalltestedcommongrassesandsedges.Whitebackedplanthooper(WBPH)SogatelafurclferaHorvathcouldsurviveonsomegramineousplants.TheweeklysamplingshowedthatafewBPHandGLHNephotettixvlrescensDistantcouldsettleandlayeggonnon-ricegrassessurrondingricefields.Highpopulationofnon-ricehoppers.suchasToyaspp.andTogosodes.pusanusweresampledinthosenon-ricehabitatslheseplanthopperscouldsupplysufficienthosteggsforeggparasiloids,Anagrusspp.andOligosilaspp.,ofriceplanthoppers.
