The new concept developed by Rieter AG for rectangular cans for the applieation in CUBIean lines of the type RSB-D 35 is described. The technological and economic benefits compared with conventional cans used on the drawframe and in the subsequent spinning process and the possible increase of the filling capacity of cans by optimizing the downward movement of the lifting device are presented, in the future, this will help spinning mills to adapt the spinning cans more efficiently to the yarn range produced.
