住院精神疾病患者的“意外死亡”(附上海市23所精神病院的134例资料分析)

Accidental deaths of patients in mental hospitals.

调查上海市23所精神病院的住院精神疾病患者"意外死亡"共134例。分析死因依次为:自缢(20.1%)、心血管疾病(16.4%)、窒息(11.2%)、跳楼(7.5%)、药物中毒(6.7%)等。善后处理中发生纠纷26例(19.4%)、赔偿26例(19.4%)。并提出搞好善后处理的意见。

Objective:To study the cause of deaths of inpatients in mental hospitals.Method:This was a retro- spective study of 134 inpatients who died accidenfally in 23 mental hospitals of Shanghai city.Results: The causes of death included the following:suicide by hanging(20.1%),cardiovascular diseases (16.4%),suffocation(11.2%),jumping(7.5%),drug poisoning(6.7%)and others.The 26(19.4%) cases which were subsequently disputed by patients'family members were compensated.Discussion:In order to protect the right of patients,an'Inpatient Safety Insurance'schene has been formulated and practised at the Shanghai Mental Health Center.It can also reduce conflicts between families and hospi- tals over patients'accidental deaths.
