Does monophasic mania exist?

是否存在单相躁狂症长期以来一直有所争议。ICD-10和CCMD-2除单次发作躁狂症尚有其独立位置外均归入双相情感性障碍。DSM-Ⅲ和Ⅳ更把有躁狂发作者均作为"双相"看待,但CCMD-2-R把单次和反复发作的躁狂症均归于躁狂症单独编码为30与31双相情感性精神障碍相并列。本期发表这方面的5篇稿件进行讨论基本认为"单相躁狂症"还是可以单独存在的。

Editotrial note:The question of whether monophasic or unipolar mania is a distinct nosologicalentity has been controversial for a long time.Although the ICD-10 and CCMD-2 allow the diagnosisof a single manic episode,recurrent unipolar mania is classified usder bipolar disorder.Both single manicepisode and recurrent main are categorized under bipolar disotder in the DSM-Ⅲ and DSM-Ⅳ.Bycontrast,the CCMD-2-R classifies both single manic episode and recurrent unipolar mania under'mania'(code 30),next to bipolar disorder.The following five articles discuss the status of monophasicmania and conclude that it should remain as an independent entity.
