On Overall Development of Human Beings ( Written Statement)

“人的全面发展”问题是马克思主义理论的一个重要哲学命题,也是一个颇具吸引力和感染力的理论亮点问题。长期以来,人们一直以为只有到了共产主义社会这个理论才具有实践意义。在全面建设小康社会的今天,我们党把它与社会主义现代化建设统一起来。这是对马克思主义关于“人的全面发展”理论的继承和发展。本刊发表锦州医学院人文社科学院几位教师就此提出的一些见解,以飨读者。

The overall development of human beings is an important philosophic proposition of the Marxism theory and a strongly theoretic issue with great attraction and influence. However, for a long time, it has not been regarded as a theoretic issue with practical significance until we enter the communist society. Nowadays, we are under the full-scale construction of the comparatively well-off society. At the same time, our Party also unites the overall development of human beings with the socialist construction, which is a succession and development of the overall development of human beings of Marxism. Therefore, we invite these teachers from the college of Humanities and Social Science to express their understanding about the relative theory of the overall development of human beings of Marxism and its practical significance.
