This essay discusses the pattern of virtual reference service （VRS） and the archive management of spider web knowledge basis of virtual reference service personals. It expounds the importance of promoting the comprehensive qualifies and skills of VRS personals in future digital libraries. The author states that every librarian should try to be writer, collector, compiler and communicator at the same time. In order to realize the goal of “customers first, service best”, the author also proposes the T- shape knowledge structure of VCS personals.
