包括壁画在内的各种质地的文物在它们所处的环境中,通过不同的媒介与各类物质相互作用,由此发生一系列复杂的物理、化学变化,只有仔细考量这一过程,找到有效的减少、减弱与外界有害的作用过程的方法,使这种相互作用保持在对文物无损的稳定平衡状态,从而达到保护文物的目的。

All materials of cultrual relics including wall paintings are in an envirornment of continual mutual effects through various media which results to a series of complex physical and chemical changes. Only by careful examination of this process can we finally protect cultrual relics by finding out a measure which would effectively reduce damages to the relics .
