Technological and industrial revolutions promoted by biotechnology will breakout in the world in the first half of 21st century. Their influences will not be assimilated with any industrial revolutions in the human history. Many countries have started to compete for this strategic highland. The era of bio-economy is not far from us. Biotechnological industries have the characteristics of strong dependence on resources and technologies, weak market monopolization and etc, which brings historical opportunity for leap development for the developing countries, especially those with rich resources but poor technological bases. The development of tropical agriculture is closely related with biotechnology. Promoting tropical agriculture with modem biotechnology is the request of bio-economic tide.
