Learn from the History and Achieve the Goal of China's Rejuvenation——Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of China's Winning the Anti-Japanese War

抗日战争是近代以来中国人民第一次取得完全胜利的民族解放战争。中国人民的抗日战争为世界反法西斯战争的胜利作出了重要贡献。抗日战争的胜利是中华民族历经百年屈辱和抗争而由衰败走向振兴的转折点,是中华民族复兴的起点。抗战胜利的根本原因是建立了以国共合作为主要内容的抗日民族统一战线,并且得到世界反法西斯同盟国的大力支援。今天,实现祖国和平统一和民族复兴大业,需要我们认真总结抗战胜利的历史经验,坚持最广泛的民族统一战线,大力弘扬爱国主义精神,实现民族的团结,同时坚持和平外交政策,努力创建一个有利于我国和平崛起的国际环境,完成社会主义现代化建设的艰巨任务。

Winning the 8-year-long Anti-Japanese War was a complete victory for the Chinese people＇s cause of liberation in the nation＇s modem history. The victory not only made great contribution to the ending of Fascism, but also served as a turning point where China said goodbye to its humiliated part of history and set out on a journey to rejuvenation. There are two fundamental factors that helped the Chinese people win the war. One is the establishment of the united national front in which the CPC and the Kuomlntang played a leading role in the war against the Japanese invasion. The other is the strong supports from the AUies. We must be aware that in order to achieve the goal of China＇s peaceful unification and its rejuvenation, we should learn from that part of history, establish a united national front in which as many people as possible are involved, and let patriotism play its role. In addition, we should stick to a peaceful foreign policy so as to create a favorable international environment for the development of China and the accomplishment of the nation＇s socialist modernization.
