从古至今,人们对隐喻的研究没有间断过.现代认知学揭开了隐喻的认知本质.这伟大发现吸引众多学者们重新探索有关隐喻的各类问题.其中包括曾经被忽略的隐喻翻译引起人们极大的兴趣.学者们一直在寻找不同文化语言间隐喻翻译的有效方法.本篇文章试图从英汉隐喻的认知差异角度来分析探讨英语隐喻汉译的可行方法,从而推动隐喻研究和翻译同步发展.

Metaphor study has a long history and it is an unexhausted issue. The discovery of cognition nature of metaphor in recent years amuse great interest among various scholars and study of metaphor turns on a new look, including metaphor translation which was once a neglected issue in the past. Scholars have been looking for an effective way to translate metaphor across different languages and cultures. This paper tries to offer possibly practicable ways of metaphor translation through analyzing cognitive gap between Chinese metaphors and English metaphors.
