Quan Zhan＇s A Survey of China＇ s Contemporary Biography is a high-quality work on biographic history. It classified China＇s contemporary biography into ten types based on social role of the biographic characters and moral and historical criterion, which consists of a consequent series of China＇ s contemporary biography. In macro and micro way three layers of the work have been dealt with vividly and systematically. The author divides China＇s contemporary biography into five phases, which forms perfect structures, and for the first time the author makes it an independent researching object.
