A Comparison between Poetic Image and Painting Image

中国诗画相通的最根本原因在于诗境画境在创造、表现、审美感知层面上的相通相融与相似,然“画境异乎诗境”,遂有“诗画互补”之说。诗画互补是中国艺术魅力生成的重要元素。

The reason why Classical Chinese poetry and traditional Chinese painting are interlinked is that they are interlinked, complementary and similar to each other in creation, expression and aesthetic perception. However, “poetic image is different from painting image”, so that there exists a theory that “painting and poetry are mutually complementary”. That painting and poetry are mutually complementary makes Chinese art full of charm.
