摘要
本文回顾了前人在对比语言学学科目标和范围上的各种意见，讨论了建立学科体系的两个基本原则，即1．所有学科从理论到实践都可以分成四个层级；2．根据语言的本质属性，对比研究可以从自然科学方法、社会科学方法、人文科学方法等不同层面去进行。并将四个层级和三个层面相配合，提出了一个具有八个分支领域对比语言学的新体系。
The paper recollects the diversified opinions towards the targets and scope of contrastive linguistics, discusses two principles for the establishment of a workable system for CL： （1） any academic discipline is formed “vertically” of four strata; （2） language can be studied from three different aspects, either as a natural science, a social science, or a humanity science, and finally proposes an eight-sphere new system for contrastive studies.
