Exact figures of the National Bureau of Statistics are available only mid-October, but it is not too adventurous to predict that GDP growth at the end of September will have reached at least nine percentage points year-on-year. Is this good news for the Chinese and world economies? Most probably it is, even though some Chinese economists and government leaders would have preferred to have a growth-rate slightly under 9 percent.
