Influence of Personality upon the Formation of Yuan Haowen's Lyric Style

元好问是"金代词坛的殿军和巨擘".这里通过对元好问的词风以及其性格特征的分析,认为元好问经历了金末社会大动荡,致使其性格中既有软弱消极的一面,也有积极进取的一面,而这种双重性格特征促成其词风兼具清健爽朗和婉丽纤秀的特点.

Yuan Haowen is regarded as the greatest lyric （Chinese ci） writer during the Jin Dynasty. This paper investigates into Yuan＇s personality and its influence upon the formation of his lyric style. As Yuan lives in a society of turbulence at the end of the Jin Dynasty, his personality can be best summed up as contradictory： negative and soft on the one hand, and positive and hard on the other. As a result, his writing is graceful and melancholy on the one hand, and solid and virile on the other.
