摘要:通过对跨文化交际中语用失误的类型和成因的探讨,认为语用失误的出现是学习者母语文化迁移的结果,也是学习者目的语知识和跨文化交际能力不断完善过程中留下的标记,指出语用失误是学习者在交际过程中无法避免的失误,它并不总是阻碍跨文化交际顺利进行,在有些情况下还能够促进交流的继续进行.在此基础上,强调外语教师应该全面认识语用失误,不能只强调它的负面影响而忽略它的正面作用.
Pragmatic failures frequently appear in cross-cultural communication. They result from language learners' mother tongue transfer and they are markers left in the process where language learners improve their target language and cross-cultural communicative abilities. This paper discusses the types of pragmatic failures and the reasons for them. It holds that pragmatic failure is unavoidable in the process of cross-cultural communication. In some cases, it can promote cross-cultural communication. As foreign language teachers, we should have a complete understanding of the functions of pragmatic failures so as not to ignore their positive functions.
