The principle of data transmission between parallel port and MCU in EPP mode is analyzed in this paper. A technical solution of portable data acquisition system based on the EPP protocol is designed . a hardware interface and software programming method is discussed in the system. The scheme has many advantages such as high-speed, high-reliability, succinct design for software and hardware, needn＇t insert cards etc.
