The circadian rhythm of me asthma and the antiasthmatic effects of the salbutamol sulfate were determined in guinea pigs.All aminals were adapted for a minmum period of a week to enviromental room equipped with an automatically timed 12h light and 12h dark illumination cycle befor these experiments.It has been proved that the asthmogenic effects showed circadian rhythms in guinea pigs. The latencies were the longest(102.6±15.5s)in 12:00 h and the shotest(53.2±15.9s)in night 24∶ 00h. The difference was signifcant.The salbutamol sulfate(1mg· kg-1)was administrated at the six different timepoints over the 24 h span.The antiasthmatic effects indicated the remarkable circadian changes in guinea pigs.It was strongest at 1200 h and the weakest in the night. The pharmacodynamics of the night was increased at double dose(2 mg·kg-1).
