On Pragmatic Failures and Improvement of Intercultural Communicative Competence

随着我国改革开放进程的日益加快,英语学习正越来越受到重视。许多学生通过努力为自身打下了扎实的语言学基础,但令人尴尬的是语言能力不等于交际能力,他们在实际交流中语用失误频频。因此,我们要从多方面培养学生的跨文化交际能力。

With China＇s reform and opening up to the outside world, English learning is prevailing in our country. As a result, many students have acquired high linguistic competence, however, in intercultural communication, to their embarrassment, they often encounter pragmatic failures. In this paper, from the perspective of pragmatic failures, the author discusses the issue about how to improve the students ＇ intercommunication competence.
