清末,广西掀起一场禁绝鸦片烟毒的运动。由于鸦片烟税是广西财政收入的重要来源之一,又因鸦片的利益与各方关系密切,在禁毒的方式与时间期限上,广西行政当局与广西立法机关因意见相左,由此而展开了一系列的斗争,对当时社会产生了很大的影响。

In the latter stage of QingDynasty,the govermment raised a movement of wiping out the scourge of opium in Guangxi. Because the opium cigarette tax was one of the important sources of the fiscal revenues of Guangxi;and the interests of the opium were in close relation with each power.On time limit and measures the of the narcotics control,the executive authorities of Guangxi and Guangxi legislature Could not agree with each other. So,they launched a series of struggles ,that had a very great imapct on society at that time .
