构建和谐社会是我国社会发展的新要求和治国安邦的重大战略任务。新闻传媒作为党执政的重要工具之一,在构建和谐社会中具有不可替代的重要作用。新闻传媒作为构建和谐社会的重要舆论工具,应该坚持正确的舆论导向、积极引领公众舆论,努力在构建和谐社会中凝力,为全面建设小康社会、加强我国民主政治建设发挥重要作用。

The construction of a harmonious society, as a significant strategic task, follows the requirements raised by the social development in China in a new century as well as the need to keep social stability. Mass media, as one of the most important tools of the ruling party, plays an irreplaceable role in the fulfillment of this task. According to this paper, mass media is a useful tool of constructing a harmonious society, therefore, it is of great significance to keep the right direction of public opinion, to take mass media as a method of governing, to actively guide public opinion, as well as to shed some light on the construction of democratic politics in China.
