直干桉苗梢枯病多发生在苗木的嫩茎和梢部的叶片上，病部表现失绿变褐至黑褐色腐烂、茎部干枯缢用、叶片萎蔫后干枯卷曲不脱落，导致苗木嫩梢萎蔫弯曲下垂而枯死。经分离培养、接种试验鉴定其病原菌为葡萄孢属、灰葡萄孢菌。

The Shoot blight of Eucalyptus matdeni seedlings often occurred on their tender stems and top leafblades.By means of the isolation culture and inoculation experiment,the pathogenic fungus of the shootblight was identified as Botrytis cinevea.
