明代建阳坊刻通俗小说评析

On Popular Novels Published by Jianyang Publishing Houses of Ming Dynasty

我国古代长篇白话小说到了明代嘉靖、万历年间才大繁荣,大发展。而建阳书坊是当时最主要的印刷中心,为此作出了很大的贡献。建阳书坊为追逐利润,同时也为了适应广大市民的需要,让小说更有效地承担起教化的任务,他们出版了明代三部名著的删节本或文简事繁本。但是,在这个深受理学影响的地方,他们在出版书籍时,还坚守一条道德的底线,没有出版《金瓶梅》和正在热销的“艳情小说”。

The ancient colloquial novels of our nation didn＇t thrive greatly until the Jiajing and Wanli age of Ming Dynasty. The publishing houses of Jianyang were the leading publishing center, and they con tributed greatly to the development of the novels printing and publishing. The publishing houses of jianyang published the abridgements and simple editions of three masterpieces of Ming Dynasty, in order to pursue interests, meet many citizens＇ demands, and make the novels take the role of edification in hand effectively. But with the great influence of Lixue, there was a morality utmost when they published novels. They didn＇t publish the Jinpingmei and other salable raffish novels.
