On Translation Criticism

翻译批评已成为一个广阔的研究领域,批评家不仅研究译者及其行为、翻译过程与结果以及译文影响,而且研究翻译研究者(包括教师、理论家、批评家等)及其行为、研究过程与结果以及成果的影响。为了推动翻译批评事业的发展,今后我们必须壮大批评家队伍和深入研究各类翻译批评标准。

Translation criticism has become a fairly wide area where critics can evaluate not only translators and translation researchers, but also their activities, working process and products, and the influence of their achievements. In order to develop translation criticism, we should make great efforts in both expanding the team of translation critics and working out the criteria of translation criticism.
