A Tentative Analysis of the "Body" and "Spirit" of Huizhou Genealogy

徽州谱牒是中国谱牒的重要组成部分。宋代欧阳修、苏洵创立的五世图式体例,构成徽州谱牒的基本框架,可谓之徽州谱牒之体;南宋朱熹的理学思想,成为徽州谱牒的精神支柱,可谓之徽州谱牒之魂。深入解剖徽州谱牒这一基本模式,有助于整理、开发、研究数以万计的中国谐牒这份珍贵的历史文化遗产,使其在弘扬中华历史文化,提高中华民族精神,增强中华民族凝聚力和向心力,进而对促进实现祖国和平统一大业起到积极作用。

Huizhou genealogy is an important component of Chinese genealogy. The style of five-generation chart created by Ou-yang Xiu and Su Xun in the Song Dynasty constituted the fundamental framework of Huizhou genealogy, and can be called its “body”. The lixue thoughts of Zhu Xi in the Southern Song became the pillar of Huizhou genealogy, and can be called its “spirit”. Among thousands of Chinese genealogy, Huizhou genealogy is the basic pattern. A deep analysis of Huizhou genealogy will work to promote the Chinese historical culture, increase the cohesiveness of national spirit, and advance the great work, the peaceful unification of China.
