To the （2＋1）-dimensional nonlinear physical models, it is a difficult task for us to obtain their universal solutions, in the paper, we try to get some solutions through a given Riccati equation in the variable separation approach, At the same time, we take the （2＋）-dimensional Boiti-Leon-Manna-Pempinelli equation and Burgers equation as examples to illustrate the method.
