本文重新审视以往关于汉语方言分区的各种意见,将方言分区分解为划类和鉴别两个不同的步骤。先进行划类,分出典型方言区;然后再鉴别,将典型方言区之外的剩余地区分别归入典型方言区;既非典型方言,又难以归入典型方言的剩余地区,视为方言过渡区或混合方言区。
