Interleukin-2 is a more important lymphokine,possesses many of biological activations and phar maceutical values. IL-2 modification is a significant means,which developing novel IL-2 or its deriva tives. Natural modification in host has some limitation,however,gene modification by genetic engineer ing could express various new type of IL-2 mutants、analogues and hydrid proteins. In the hydrid pro teins,the part of IL-2 acts not only as the effector but also guide carrier. Modification in protein level also has some specieal features,e. g.,the PEG modified IL-2 possessed increased plasma half lives and decreased immunogenicity.
