试论西北大学办学传统与精神

My View on the Spirit and Tradition of School Management of Northwest University

简要阐述了大学传统精神的内涵。深入探讨了百年学府西北大学的办学传统与精神:坚持“兴学报国”,面向西部,“培养高深专门人才”的办学宗旨;坚持“中西结合”开放式的办学道路;发扬“求真务实”的办学风格与优良学风;传承“爱国荣校,科学民主”的光荣传统;发扬“艰苦创业,自强不息”的办学精神。论述了优良办学传统与精神,对大学事业发展的影响与促进作用。

The present thesis deals with the connotation of the traditional spirit of Northwest University, makes a thorough study of the spirit and tradition of school management of the centenary university. The university has been adhering to the following principles：setting up of the school for the country; catering to the needs of the west of our country; bringing up the advanced specialized personnel ; persisting in the opening policy of combining Chinese and western methods of school management ; seeking for realistic spirit and being pragmatic ; canying forward the fine academic atmosphere and disciplines; inheriting the glorious tradition; being patriotic, honoring our university and acting on the scientific and democratic spirit; keeping up the practice of school management through arduous effort and constantly striving for further progress. The thesis discusses the fine spirit and tradition of school management, their promotive function and influence on the development of the university.
