摘要
文化预设对文学翻译有三大作用,即完整性、有效性和目的性。完整性──目的语读者根据已有文化体验自发补充译作所缺省的文化信息;有效性──同一作品在不同时代有不同译作,时代背景赋予不同译作以新的生命,使各译作相对原作来说均具可读性;目的性———文化预设使原作作者的创作意图在译作中得以体现,三大作用使源语文化在目的语中得以再现。
Three effects are analyzed on translating activities of the literary works arising from cultural presupposition. Integrity-readers would automatically supply the missing cuhural information in the translating versions by means of their own cultural experiences; validity-different translating versions of the same work in different times are valid owing to the new life endowed by different time parameters; intentionality-the translation also conveys the original author＇s intention in the light of cultural presupposition. These effects are conducive for the source culture to be reflected in the target text as profoundly as possible.
