Study on Great Master Zibai's "Sandafu"

紫柏大师是晚明佛教界的著名高僧,他在明代佛教衰微之际,力振佛教,在晚明社会动荡之时热心济世,他所提出的“三大负”就是其热心济世的表现。紫柏大师“三大负”的经世主张当时都没有实现,但它反映了紫柏大师和晚明思想界思想的一些动向。

Great master Zibai was one of four eminences in the late Ming Dynasty. It was Zibai that restored Buddhism when it had fell in the late Ming Dynasty, and Zibai regarded the restoration as his duty. Living in a turbulent situation , Zibai served all living creatures with the heart of the Srimana of the Mahayana . Great master Zibai＇ s “Sandafu” was his manifestation on serving all living creatures. All his “Sandafu” didn＇t succeed , but Great master gibai＇ s “Sandafu” affairs to Buddhism reflected Buddhism in the late Ming Dynasty.
