席勒的和谐思想中，人与自然、人与社会、人自身都是和谐的．“自然”比自由的涵义更广阔。人作为自然的一部分，和自然一样都要求自由和完善。“通过自由培予自由”．人既能处理好与自然的和谐，又能处理好人自身的和谐。那么人和社会的和谐也就自然而然了．席勒的和谐思想对当代“和谐社会”的构建仍然具有借鉴意义．

In Schiller＇ s opinion, harmony finds its expression between man and nature, man and society, and in man himself. Nature has a more extensive connotation than freedom. As a part of nature,man demands freedom and pedection. Through freedom,he gets and gives freedom to keep his harmony with nature and his own harmony. Subsequently, the harmony between man and society is established. China can gain some enlightenment from Schiller＇s thought of harmony for its building a harmonious society.
