就基本思想方面看,老、庄、《易》“三玄”在汉代四百年间的变化和整合,表明魏晋玄学的兴起,自有前代思想学术所作的酝酿铺垫,并非突如其来发生的现象。对于汉代整合“三玄”方面比较重要的人物和著作,如《淮南子》、扬雄、张衡以及王导“三理”等,典型体现了汉人在一些玄学命题上做出了程度不等的先期贡献。

In terms of its core thoughts,the rise of Chinese Metaphysics in the Wei and Jin Dynasties is not accidental but has its origin in the previous Dynasties,with the evolution and integration of the three Chinese Metaphysics classics of Laozi,Zhuangzi and The Book of Changes during the four hundred odd years of the Han Dynasty.Works and scholars in the Han Dynasty such as Masters of Huainan,Yang Xiong,Zhang Heng,Wang Dao and his three principles,have all contributed to varying degrees to the formation of Chinese metaphysics.
