SED Inc., a joint venture of Toshiba and Canon, has announced to produce 55-inch Field Emission Displays （FEDs） in 2006. Besides this business information SED Inc. has also presented some technical details at two conferences in 2005. We will review this technical information in the context of some generic issues of FEDs.
