唐乾元二年(759年),杜甫弃官由华州到秦州,其内心世界是复杂的。杜甫在《秦州杂诗二十首》开篇句中已经明确无误地道出了他西行的缘由:“满目悲生事,因人作远游”。“满目悲生事”是导致诗人“弃官”的原因;“因人”则是诗人选择“西行”和“之秦”的缘由。“因人”中的“人”有三层含义,但其重点是“神恋”中的挚友李白。
