On the Recreational Function of Novels

小说是游戏的和小说是载道的,这一直是小说观念中纠缠不清的两种观点。文章从小说创作中的游戏精神和欣赏中的游戏精神来论述小说的本性是游戏性的。游戏的真实比模仿的真实更接近世界的真实;小说欣赏中的游戏精神使小说的文学性得以呈现。

There have been two entangled viewpoints about the function of novels： for moralization or for recreation. This article analyzes the recreational factor in the process of novels＇ creation and appreciation and argues that novels are by nature for recreation, for the reality in recreation is closer to the real world than the imitated reality and the gem of novels is appreciated in the process of the recreation.
