This paper probes into the significance of vocational clothing in building a city＇ s cultural identity from the identifying nature and culturally symbolic nature of vocation clothing. It gives a study on the status of vocational clothing in building a city＇ s culture, economic, cultural and social undertakings. The author concludes that vocational clothing is of great value in improving the city＇ s cultural and economic construction, and civilization, intellectual refinement and aesthetics of the citizens.
