GT approach is a traditional method of language studying which is adopted by chinese foreign language teaching for a long time and is also the standard process of foreign language teaching in school, the key of the method is detailed analysis of its grammar rules first, followed by application of this knowledge to sen- tence and text translation. With the development of society and the mature of education theories , this is out of date . CA approach focused the importance of language using other than learning the rules of usage, aims to increase learners＇communicative ability. But in actual foreign language using, both of them have some disadvantages and lackings, so that to split the difference of the two approaches will be the general trend.
