Treating Verb Syntactic Alternations in Dictionary Examples

本文探讨（1）何谓动词句法转换现象；（2）相关的词例应如何处理此类现象。调查研究显示，现行的英语学习词典对动词的句法转换信息处理缺乏系统，不能满足用户的需求。本文提出在词例中采用模板的方法系统处理动词句法转换现象。

This paper addresses （1） What is verb syntactic alternation？ （2） In what way can dictionary examples adequately treat verb syntactic alternations？ Relevant studies indicate that examples in current En- glish learners dictionaries have not systematically treated verb alternations, and users relevant reference needs cannot be satisfied. To resolve the problem, we propose that lexicographers could adopt the template approach to exemplifying verbs alternations.
