汉英词典词类标注与译义的对称性研究——兼评《ABC汉英大词典》的词类标注与译义

Symmetry in POS Labeling and Translation in C-E Dictionaries

汉英词典词类标注与译义的对称性既是译义和谐平衡的美学原则，又是译义准确客观的科学要求。本文首先讨论译义对称性的理据，接着以《ABC汉英大词典》为例探讨了汉英词典词类标注与译义的四种不对称现象，最后指出译义不对称现象的根源以及解决译义不对称的途径。

Symmetry in POS labeling and lexicographical translation in C-E dictionaries is not only an aesthetical principle for balance and harmony but also a scientific requirement for accuracy and objectivity. This paper first addresses the motivations for symmetric lexicographical translation, and then illustrates four types of asymmetric lexicographical translation in ABC Chinese-English Comprehensive Dictionary. Meanwhile, it also explores the causes of th,e asymmetry as well as the solutions for the problem.
