Hemingway had forty years of writing career. In the perspective of the formation of the theme of his creative works and cf the course of his creative characters＇development, Hemingway＇s writing career can be divided into three periods： experiencing, resisting and surpassing the misery and nothingness of human life. His creative ideas originated from his unique life experience. It is not only the road of development of his code - hero characters, but also the course of the formation and development of his philosophical thought on human life.
