范成大(1126—1293)十七八岁时连遭亲丧,骤然间由一个企慕豪纵、追求快意享乐生活的官家子弟沦落为孤儿。他返回故里,度过了十余年的居寺读书生活,并由此转变为一个兼具传统文人双重文化性格的士人。早孤这一身世之变与其较为广泛的交游对他思想的转变及其士人文化性格中隐者情怀形成产生了重要的影响。

Fan Cheng - da （ 1126 - 1193）, suffered the loss of his parents in succession when he was seventeen or eighteen years old. All of a sudden he became an orphan, though he used to be a son of an official and indulged himself in unconstrained enjoyments. After his patents＇death, he returned to his hometown, where he stayed for more than ten years. He became an elite with a double - character of traditional scholars in his time. His life experience, social intercourses and tours exerted great impact on the changes of his thoughts and behavior, especially on shaping his thoughts and feelings as a recluse.
