摘要 简述了美国哥伦比亚大学、犹他大学和美国矿业局盐湖城研究中心等几个著名选矿教学和研究机构的工作现状,介绍了其选矿研究技术的最新动向.美国比较重视选矿基础理论研究,如采用先进的装置进行浮选原理和表面化学研究,对破碎过程进行微观研究,研制喷射空气水力族流器技术等,从而不断开拓选矿新方法、新工艺、新设备;重视选矿工艺过程的检测控制及自动化、最佳化和计算机的应用,最近推出扩大试验型的全面采用最新格控技术的浮选工艺示范样板;不断研制新式大型选矿设备来提高劳动生产率;不断拓宽研究领域,向能源、石油、化工、复合材料等相关领域发展,为选矿研究开辟广阔前景. The present working status of some famous mineral processing teaching and research institutes such as Columbia University, Utah University, Salt Lake Research Center of USBM, etc. in the United States is briefly introduced and the newest tendency on their mineral processing research techniques is described.In the US, relatively great attention has been paid to the fundamental theory study on mineral processing, for instance, some advanced devices have been applied for the study on the flotation principle and surface chemistry, micro-research on comminution has been conducted and the air-jet hydrocyclone technique has been developed, thus new methods, new technology and new equipment for mineral processing have been continuously opened up. US has also attached importance to the detection control of beneficiation processes and the application of automation, optimization and computers. Recently, a pilot-test tpye flotation technology demonstration prototype fully applying the newest detection control technique has been put out. Besides, new and large equipment for mineral processing has been unceasingly developed for increasing the labour productivityl research fields have been widened up towards the relevant fields like energy source, petrochemical engineering, composite materials, et'c., so that a broad prospect has been opened up for the study on mineral processing.
