哈萨克族的族源和族名含义研究

On the Origin and Implication of the Name of the Kazak

通过对中外历史文献的深入探讨,文章肯定哈萨克族的主要族源为两汉的奄蔡、南北朝的曷萨、隋唐的突厥可萨;次要族源是蒙古汗国和元朝西迁至钦察草原的蒙古人。又在细致分析“迦沙”、“曷萨”、“克普恰克”等突厥语词汇的基础上,认为“哈萨克”族名的含义是“聪明能干的人”、“形质兼美”的人。

A deep analysis of historical documents both at home and abroad confirms that the Kazak originates mainly froma series of nationalities in the Han Dynasty, the North-South Dynasty, and in the Sui and Tang Dynasties ; the minor origin is from the Mongolians migrating westward to Qingcha grassland during the Mongolian Khan and the Yuan Dynasty. A closer analysis of the lexical meanings of the names of these nationalities proves that the name ＂Kazak＂ means ＇capable man ; beautiful both of the flesh and the spirit＇.
