摘要
作格动词的特殊用法引发了研究者对英语语态的重新思考,传统的语态二分法难以合理地解释语言中的作格结构,Halliday为此提出了中动语态概念来克服这一缺陷。本文首先讨论了英语作格动词和中动语态的关系,分析了学习者中介语中的语态偏误,并提出了针对作格动词的教学建议。
The unique qualities ofergative verbs have triggered researchers' reconsideration of English voices as the traditional dichotomy of active and passive voices cannot fully explain ergative structures on a sound basis. To tackle this problem, Halliday initiated the concept of middle voice. This paioer first discusses the relationships between English ergative verbs and middle voice, then analyzes L2 learners' errors related to the use of voices, and finally offers some suggestions on how to teach ergative structures in classroom settings.
