摘要
目前在我国,学生公共英语水平日益提高和大学毕业生专业英语交流能力日益受到重视,EAP教学却没有得到应有的重视。尽管双语教学①能在一定程度上提高学生的EAP水平,但如果没有EAP教学的支持,双语教学的效果就会大打折扣。实际上,我国高校目前已经完全具备了普及EAP教学的客观条件。在我国现阶段乃至将来,EAP教学仍然是大学英语教学重点之一。
Currently, EAP teaching in China does not enjoy the status it deserves in tertiary educational institutions. Although English-Chinese bilingual instruction can, to some extent, help students acquire some interactive abilities in English, its effect will undoubtedly be degraded without the foundation laid by EAP teaching. In fact, the high educational institutions in China have held all the objective conditions essential for EAP teaching. Therefore, it is urgent to attract attention of the national educational administration to EAP teaching.
