双向同构 灼灼其华——略谈吴楚文化及其学术建构

Harbor each other Each shining more brilliantly in the other's company--A brief discussion about Wu-Chu culture and its academic constitution

吴楚文化既指史称“吴头楚尾”之地的区域性文化,亦可指古吴楚之地的长江中下游文化。它们皆包含着极丰厚的吴文化、楚文化及其混融共生的吴楚文化的物质成果和精神积淀。在先秦吴、楚立国前后,吴楚之地即已呈现“吴中有楚、楚中有吴”瑰丽的吴楚文化景观,展示出吴楚文化自有的人文风貌和文化特质,尽管王朝更迭,这种文化的区域性特征是不会随着吴、楚灭国而消失的;秦大一统后,尤其两宋以后,吴楚文化充满光辉。因而,我们应以清晰的历史理念和文化自觉,立足于吴楚地域的文明创造,努力开拓吴楚文化研究的学术空间。

Wu-Chu culture is not only referred as the regional culture in the area connecting Wu and Chu, but that in the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River as well. Both of them are housing rich fruit, material or immaterial, of Wu culture, Chu culure and Wu-chu culture. Around the establishment of Wu and Chu before Qin, there existed grand cultural presence in Wu and Chu that their culture harbored and benefited form each other with their specific humanism and characteristics displayed. Although dynasties fall and rise one by one, these characteristics haven＇t died out with Wu or Chu. After Emperor Qinshihuang united China, especially after North Song and South Song Dynasties, Wu-Chu culture has been more shining than ever. Thus we should, with clear historical concept and cultural consciousness, for the purpose of creating civilization in Wu-Chu area, make efforts to advance academic study of Wu-Chu culture.
