“三纲五常”并非起源于孔孟,而是对孔孟儒学平等和民主精神的背叛和践踏。程朱理学把“三纲五常”说成是不以人的意志为转移的、万古长存的天理,就是要维护封建皇权专制主义的等级制度和纲常秩序。

Three Cardinal Guides and Five Constant Virtues doesn＇t start from Confucius and Mencius, but is the betraying and trampling upon the equlity and the democratic spirit of Confucianism of Confucius and Mencius. Cheng-zhu School regards Three Cardinal Guides and Five Constant Virtues as heavenly principles that are overlasting and would not be changed by people＇s will. It tends to depend the hierachy of rank and the order of cardinal guides and constant virtues of the feudal imperial power monarchy.
